Waverly & Woodgate Area
Woodgate and Waverly Hills are both well established neighborhoods located 1-2 miles mile south of I-10, off Thomasville Road in Tallahassee, Florida. Nestled right next to midtown.
Woodgate began in 1970 and today has around 300 homes, where Waverly Hills started in the 1950’s and is containing just under 400 homes. Both loved by residents who have lived here their whole lives, to young professionals and families. Providing the ideal locations to live and work with close proximity to parks, hospitals, shopping centers, and popular restaurants. Public school zones for the neighborhood are Kate Sullivan Elementary, Cobb(Woodgate)/ Raa (Waverly Hills) Middle School and Leon High School.
The Woodgate Homeowners Association is very active and encourages community gathers such as annual get-together tailgates for Veterans Day, an Easter Egg hunt and “Woodgate Day”, a celebration that started in 1973 and has been an ongoing neighborhood event since. The day consists of games, food and fun for all!
Both neighborhoods values start in the $200,000’s offering opportunities for renovations. Waverly Hills allows for a bit more improvement and values with some lots and homes being larger in size and closer to the heart of midtown.
